Leroy K. Bulmahn, 75 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at his residence. His death was attributed to Parkinson's Disease. Leroy was born on Wednesday, November 30, 1932 in Decatur, Indiana the son of the late Theodore Bulmahn and the late Esther (Bultemeier) Bulmahn. He married Barbara E. Haugk on June 10, 1956 in Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur, Indiana and she survives. Leroy served his country in the United States Army from 1954 - 1956. Leroy was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble. Leroy for many years, organized and led the horse show that benefited the Preble Volunteer Fire Dept. Leroy also helped the Preble Fire Dept. with their annual tractor pull. In 1951, Leroy graduated from Monmouth High School. Leroy was a sales manager for chemical and fertilizer companies and was engaged in farming. Surviving are his wife, Barbara E. Bulmahn of Decatur, Indiana; son, Mark (Connie) Bulmahn of Decatur, Indiana; son, Eric (Monica) Bulmahn of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughter, Carol (Jack) Negley of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, Larry (Colleen) Bulmahn of Decatur, Indiana; brother, Eugene (Helen) Bulmahn of Decatur, Indiana; sister-in-law, Barbara J. Bulmahn of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and nine grandchildren: Brittany Negley, Kyle Negley, Kayla Negley, Corey Bulmahn, Karmen Bulmahn, Blake Bulmahn, Jaclyn Bulmahn, Victoria Bulmahn, and Cecilia Bulmahn. Preceding Leroy in death was one brother, Willis Bulmahn. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2008 in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble with Rev. Daniel J. Brege officiating. Burial will follow in the St Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Preble. Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2008 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Preferred memorials are to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble; Wyneken Lutheran School; or Hospice of Northeast Indiana.
