Bonnie C. Leuenberger, 100 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 in the Village of Heritage. She was born on Tuesday, July 19, 1910 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana the daughter of the late Edward A. Walker and the late Lulu C. (Seibert) Walker. She married Walter A. Leuenberger, Sr. on August 8, 1933 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and he passed away on November 27, 1994. Bonnie was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Monroeville where she was active in the Von Bora Society. She was a 1929 graduate of the Fort Wayne Art Institute. She was a homemaker and former office worker at W. A. Leuenberger Insurance Agency in Monroeville, Indiana. Surviving are her son, Walter A. "Wally" (Darlene) Leuenberger, Jr. D.D.S. of Lake George, Indiana, daughter, Sharon A. Godfrey of Charlotte, North Carolina, daughter, Judith D.(Charles) Krieger of Valparaiso, Indiana, seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Bonnie in death were one brother, Edward H. Walker and one sister, Avis Rayl. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2011 in the St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. Thursday until the time of service at the church. Preferred memorials are to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
