Amy M. Castleman, 40 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 12:48 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in the Parkview Hospital located in Fort Wayne, Indiana after being stricken a short time earlier at her home from complications from Lupus that she had since 1991. Amy was born on Wednesday, January 13, 1971 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana the daughter of the late Thomas J. Evans and Jane (Slater) Evans. She married Dennis J. Castleman on September 2, 1995 in St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville, Indiana. Amy was a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville; the St. Joseph School HASA; and the Lupus Organization. She was a graduate of Heritage High School Class of 1989; I.P.F.W. School of Dentistry with an Assocaite's Degree in Dental Hygiene. She was presently employed with Dr. Kenton Bailey in Monroeville and Dr. Thomas J. Hoffman in Fort Wayne. Surviving are her husband, Dennis J. Castleman of Monroeville, three daughters; Madison J., Morgan M., and Sydney I. Castleman, all at home; mother, Jane E. (Steve) Shoppell of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, Chris Evans of Fort Wayne, Indiana; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Joseph & Jane Castleman of Monroeville, Indiana, paternal grandmother, Luba Evans of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Preceding Amy in death was her father, Thomas J. Evans in 1995. A Prayer Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville, Indiana with Fr. Stephen Colchin officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville, Indiana. Friends will be received from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana. A Rosary Service will be at 8:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to St. Joseph HASA; Masses to the church; or the Lupus Foundation America.
