Ivan V. Zuber, 78 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2006 in the Golden Years Nursing Home, Fort Wayne, following and illness of several years. He was born on Saturday, November 26, 1927 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the son of the late Frank Zuber and the late Rosella E. (Minick) Zuber. His first wife was Mary R. Darras who passed away on December 12, 1970. Ivan married Evelyn R. (Gephart) Neuer on August 10, 1991 and she survives. Ivan was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Monroeville, the American Legion #420 & the Moose Lodge #1480. He retired from farming in 1991. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn R. Neuer-Zuber, step-son, Thomas K. Neuer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, step-son, Gregory D. Neuer of Huntington, Indiana, step-son, Eric J. Neuer of Huntington, Indiana, five step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren. Ivan was preceded in death by one son, David I. Zuber. A Prayer Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Rose Catholic Church with Fr. Stephen Colchin and Fr. Edward Erpelding officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 10 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana. Preferred memorials are Masses at St. Rose Catholic Church.
