Norma V. O'Shaughnessey, 87 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2010 in the Village of Heritage located in Monroeville, Indiana. Norma was born on Sunday, April 15, 1923 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of the late Herman B. Meyer and the late Abbie (Uleman) Meyer. She married the late Robert C. O'Shaughnessey on May 8, 1948 and he passed away on September 11, 1978. Norma was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church; the Rosary Society; and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Norma was employed at CTS in Berne, Indiana for 25 years. Surviving are her daughter, Colleen Thieme of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Collette Martin of Mill Creek, Washington; sister, Florence O'Shaughnessey of Decatur, Indiana; seven grandchildren: Lisa Martin, Abbie Martin Tooney, Cassie Martin, Jason Thieme, Heather Anderson, Amber Franz, Erin Franz; and six great-grandchildren: Robert Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Veronica Franz, Lilly Franz, Evan Franz, and Haylee Franz. Preceding Norma in death were one sister, Esther Meyer; and one great-grandson, Tyler Anderson. A Prayer Service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father David Voors officiating. Interment will follow in the St Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Decatur, Indiana. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to A.C.C. F. Angel Fund-Heart or Kidney; or Music Fund at either Wyneken Lutheran School or Heritage High School.
