Max E. Odle, 86 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2007 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur, Indiana. Max was born on August 4, 1920 in Decatur, Indiana the son of the late Grover M. Odle and the late Nettie M. (Reynolds). He married Dorothy P. Melick on July 26, 1947 and she survives. Max served in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater where he attained the rank of Master Sergeant. He was Max retired from General Electric in 1980. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy P. "Polly" Odle of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Karen (Ted) Braun of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Brenda (Phil) Rumschlag of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, brother, Grover (Norma) Odle of Decatur, Indiana, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Preceding Max in death were three brothers, and two sisters. There is no funeral or visitation.
