Mildred L. Miller, 95 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 4:25 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center located in Decatur. Mildred was born on Monday, January 25, 1915 in Van Wert County, Ohio the daughter of the late Arthur C. Miller and the late Fredona O. (Harmon) Miller. Mildred had been employed with the Berne Nursing Home for 5 years; and employed with Adams Memorial Hospital for 16 years. Surviving are her daughter, Mary (Lester) Sheets of Monroe, Indiana; daughter, Emily (John) Hart of Decatur, Indiana; son, Lloyd (Susie) Knittle of Portland, Indiana; son, Jerry (Sharon) Knittle of Decatur, Indiana; son, Allen (Belle Ardela) Knittle of Decatur, Indiana; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Mildred in death were 1 son, Richard Knittle; 4 brothers, Don Miller, Paul Miller, Carl Harmon Miller, Maurice Miller; 1 sister, Pauline Hart; and 1 grandson, Michael D. Knittle. Private Family Funeral Services to be held at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana with Rev. Ernie Suman officiating. Interment will be in the Decatur Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Preferred memorials are to Monroe Lions Club.
