Elaine Rbison, 96 years old of Monroeville, Indiana passed away at 5:50 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2009 in the New Haven Care & Rehabilitation, where she had lived for the past 12 years. Elaine was born on January 11, 1913 in Harlan, Indiana the daughter of the late Fred L. Smith and the late Ethel (Corbin) Smith. She married Harold O. Robison and he passed away on September 25, 1992. Elaine was a member of the Monroeville United Methodist Church and a graduate of Monroeville High School. Elaine and her husband ran Robison Printing Company in Monroeville for 44 years and printed the Monroeville News for a number of years. She was also a homemaker. Surviving are her son, H. Stanley (Shirley) Robison of New Haven, Indiana; son, Gary H. Robison of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; son, Max F. (Sandy) Robison of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; son, Thomas C. (Carol) Robison of Ossian, Indiana; daughter, Luanne (Maury) Hoffman of Monroeville, Indiana; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Elaine in death were one brother, Robert Webb and one grandson, Phillip Robison. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2009 in the Monroeville United Methodist Church, Monroeville, Indiana with Rev. Denise Lapsley officiating. Burial will be in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 12:00 NOON to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Monroeville United Methodist Church. Preferred memorials are to the church.
