Minerva Riffle

May 12, 1905 — March 29, 2007

Minerva Riffle, 101 years old of Berne, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2007 in the Chalet Village. She was born on Friday, May 12, 1905 in Lorraine County, Ohio the daughter of the late Arthur Kelsey and the late Armida (Rowland). She married the late Leroy Riffle on September 23, 1933 in Willshire, Ohio. She was a former member of Salem United Methodist Church in later years attended the Decatur Church of God and had retired in 1981 from Adams County Memorial Hospital with 24 1/2 years of service. Surviving are her foster-son, Roger Call of Monroe, Indiana nephew, Roger Kelsey and niece, Mrs. Roger (Mary Ann) Snyder both of Salem, Indiana. Preceding Lydia in death were one son, Kenny Riffle one brother, Clair Kelsey and one nephew, Herman Kelsey. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Brink officiating. Interment will follow in the Tricker Cemetery. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Preferred memorials are to The Decatur Church of God.
