Ronald G. "Bubba" Sorg, 17 years old of Hoagland, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2006 as the result of an automobile accident on Hoagland Road. He was born on Sunday, October 8, 1989 the son of Anthony R. Sorg and Treva G. (Hart) Sorg. Ron attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel and he was currently a junior at Heritage High School. Surviving are his father, Anthony R. Sorg of Hoagland, Indiana, mother, Treva D. (Hart) Sorg of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Heather M. Sorg of Bluffton, Indiana, paternal grandparents, Ronald A. & Carole A. Sorg of Hoagland, Indiana, maternal grandmother, Janice M. Barr of Monroeville, Indiana, paternal great-grandmother, Thelma Scare of Hoagland, Indiana, and his girlfriend, Briana Kelly of Poe, Indiana. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 2006 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church-Hessen Cassel with Father Ed Erpelding officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. A rosary service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Shriner Childrens Hospital Burn Unit.
