Christine E. Moorman, 88 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2009 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur, Indiana. Christine was born on Friday, December 17, 1920 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Willis A. Andrews and the late Nancy Naomi (Derrickson) Andrews. She married the late Ralph W. Moorman on August 2, 1958 in Adams County, Indiana and he passed away on February 26, 1990. Christine was a member of the Decatur Wesleyan Church. Christine owned Moorman's Office & School Supply for 16 years; worked at General Electric for 19 years; and the United Telephone Company in Monroe for 2 1/2 years. Surviving are her daughter, Cynthia Anne Coats of Decatur, Indiana, grandchildren: Justin & Melissa Moorman of Decatur, Indiana; Sarah & Paul Brown of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Christine Carr of Decatur, Indiana; Rebecca Carr of Monroeville, Indiana; Ralph R. Moorman of Decatur, Indiana; Gretchen Coats of Monroeville, Indiana; great-grandchildren: Naudia Miller-Moorman of Decatur, Indiana; Braxtyn Moorman of Decatur, Indiana; Dalton Brown of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Colin Brown of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Xavier Moorman of Decatur, Indiana. Preceding Christine in death were two brothers: Max and Otho Andrews; and one sister, Esther Klinger. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2009 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Ray Cemetery in rural Monroe, Indiana. Friends will be received from 12:00 NOON to 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Adams County Community Foundation-Cancer Fund.
