Treva Maxine Ruble, 95 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in Woodcrest Nursing Center. She was born on Sunday, July 25, 1915 in Monroeville, Indiana the daughter of the late Ralph A. Barkley and the late Huldah F. (Marquardt) Barkley. She married Romey R. Ruble on July 23, 1932 in Decatur, Indiana and he passed away on January 6, 1988 after 56 years of marriage. Treva was member of the East Liberty United Methodist Church in Monroeville, Indiana. She was a homemaker and at the age of 73 began employment at the Hope Chest in Decatur and also the Adams County Council on Aging. Surviving are her son, Tom A. (Carolyn) Ruble of Monroeville, son, Ted L. (Dorothy) Ruble of Monroeville, son, Sam B. (Annette) Ruble of Monroeville, daughter, Ann A. Bieberich of Decatur, daughter, Judy (Larry) Hullinger of Titusville, Florida, daughter, Debbie (Eugene) Butcher of Decatur, daughter, Leah (Joe) Klinker of Decatur, brother, Robert Barkley of Churubusco, sister, Rowena Robertson of Leo, twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren and ten great great-grandchildren. Preceding Treva in death were one son, Roxy R. Ruble; one granddaughter, Kelly Sue Klinker; two brothers, Dan & Charles Barkley; two sisters, Suzanne Davis & Faerol Holt; son-in-law, Don Bieberich; daughter-in-law, Betty Ruble; and great-grandson, Dane R. Hullinger. Due to the snow Funeral services have been changed to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with Rev. Harold Klinker officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, February 24 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Preferred memorials are to Adams County Council on Aging, Adams County Community Foundation-Cancer Fund or Woodcrest.
