Michael L. Beery, 65 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2007 in the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana located in Fort Wayne. He was born on Thursday, August 14, 1941 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the son of the late Lewis Beery and Maxine (Smitley) Beery. He married Kathryn M. Hullinger on September 28, 1963 in Decatur, Indiana. Michael was a member of the First United Methdist Church, Decatur. He worked for over 20 years for International Harvester in Fort Wayne, Indiana until the plant closed. Michael was a former owner/operator of Country Corner Deli in Monroe, Indiana and was owner/operator of Decatur U-Store-It storage units. He also refurbished automobile upholstery for many years and was an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn M. Beery of Decatur, Indiana, son, Chris M. Beery of Decatur, Indiana, son, Tim J. (Cindy) Beery of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Missy S. (Jesse) Faurote of Decatur, Indiana, mother, Maxine Beery of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Sid (Larry) Moses of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and eight grandchildren; Danielle Lefler, Holly Lefler, Kylie Beery, Bailey Beery, Nicholas Faurote, Grace Faurote, Paul Faurote, & Emy Faurote. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2007 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Mahan & Rev. Mo Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 8 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home Monday. Preferred memorials are to Bridge Community Church or the First United Methodist Church, Decatur.
