Betty L. Weddle, 82 years old of Van Wert, Ohio, passed away at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2007 in the VanCrest Health Care Center located in Van Wert, Ohio. Betty was born on September 19, 1924 in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of the late Logan Cook and the late Jennie (Woods) Cook. She married the late Ray A. Weddle on March 14, 1947 and he passed away on February 21, 1998. Betty attended Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert, Ohio. Betty was a homemaker and had worked for D.W.G. Stemery in Van Wert, Ohio for 10 years. Surviving are her son, Roger L. Weddle of Van Wert, Ohio, son, Tommy L. (Maria) Weddle of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Connie (Richard) Miller of Van Wert, Ohio, and granddaughter, Alicia Weddle. Preceding Betty in death were four brothers, Gene, Lowell, Derl, and Dicke Cook; and one sister, Marjorie Close. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2007 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with the Rev. George Reed officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Wren EMS or Wesley United Methodist Church, Van Wert, Ohio.
