Delbert G. Yoss, 93 years old of Geneva, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009 in the Miami Valley Medical Center located in Dayton, Ohio, following injuries suffered in an automobile accident that also fatally injured his daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Yoss. He was born on Thursday, June 24, 1915 in Adams County, Indiana the son of the late Garfield Yoss and the late Daisy May (Runkle) Yoss. He married the late Treva Dailey on April 23, 1949 and she passed away on January 17, 2002. Delbert served in the United States Army Air Corp. during World War II where he was assigned to maintenance. He was he was a self-employed carpenter his entire life in the Geneva area. Surviving are his daughter, Carol (Richard) Teeple of Ossian, son, Delbert Wayne (Sharon) Yoss of Galliano, Louisiana, son, Ron Yoss of Ossian, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding Delbert in death were one daughter, Marilyn Beeler on January 4, 2009, one grandson, William Brian Beeler and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Boggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Geneva, Indiana. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to Disabled American Veterans or the donor's choice.
