Daniel H. McCoy, 78 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Daniel was born on June 22, 1928 in Monroeville, Indiana, the son of the late James F. McCoy and the late Velma L. (Fuelling) McCoy. He married Jennie L. Carr on June 21, 1947 and she survives. Daniel was a member of Monroeville Volunteer Fire Department; I.V.F.A. Association Local 414 Teamsters of Indiana. Daniel retired January 1, 1990 from Fruehauf Drive-A-Way as a mechanic and worked for the State Detective Agency at Do It Best. Dan had also worked at Giradot's Standard for over 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Jennie L. McCoy of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Earl (Pam) Johnson of Decatur, Indiana, son, Bruce D. (Kathy) McCoy of Auburn, Indiana, sister, Norma Witte of Antwerp, Ohio, daughter-in-law, Peggy McCoy of Monroeville, Indiana, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Preceding Daniel in death were one son, Timothy J. McCoy in 1990; and one grandson, David Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery in Monroeville, Indiana. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana.
