Cora J. Conrad, 87 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2010 in Lutheran Life Villages following a lengthy illness. She was born on Monday, September 11, 1922 in Allen County, Indiana the daughter of the late Coyle Emenhiser and the late Marie (Roy) Emenhiser. She married Arnold L. Conrad on March 24, 1948 in Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim and he passed away on March 6, 2010. Cora was a member of St. Michael Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. She was a graduate of Hoagland High School in 1941 and retired from General Electric in Fort Wayne with forty-three years of service. Surviving are her brother, Howard "Dutch" Emenhiser of Fort Wayne, brother, Charles "Ted" Emenhiser of Hoagland, and eleven nieces & nephews. Preceding Cora in death were one brother, Leroy Emenhiser and one sister, Dorothy Maurer. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 in the chapel of Lutheran Life Villages with Chaplain David Griebel officiating. Entombment will follow in the Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Friends will be received from 12 Noon to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 9 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to the services in the chapel of Lutheran Life Villages. Preferred memorials are to St. Michael Evangelical Lutheran Church or Lutheran Life Villages.
