Harry I. Mauller, 88 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2008 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center located in Decatur. Harry was born on Tuesday, February 10, 1920 in Wren, Ohio the son of the late Harry I. Mauller and the late Ota E. (Hunter) Mauller. He married the late Betty B. Harman on July 27, 1944 in Decatur, Indiana and she passed away on April 8, 2008. Harry served his country during World War II in Germany in the United States Army. Harry retired from Central Soya in the Bag Service Department after 30 years of service. Surviving are his son, Roger (Bobbi) Mauller of Decatur, Indiana, one step-granddaughter, six step-great-grandchildren, five step-great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Harry in death were one son, Rudy Darrel Mauller on October 7, 1963; and one step-grandchild, Penny Bird. Private Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2008 with Dr. Robert Bink officiating at the Decatur Cemetery. Military Graveside services will be conducted by the Adams Post 43 Color Guard. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2008 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Adams County Community Foundation-Cancer Fund.
