Eleanor Marjorie Huffman, 94 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana located in Fort Wayne. She was born on Monday, June 15, 1914 in Van Wert County, Ohio the daughter of the late Edwin Roehm and the late Alma (Reidenbach) Roehm. She married the late LeRoy C. Huffman on September 3, 1939 in Convoy, Ohio and he passed away on June 19, 2006. Eleanor was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur and was involved with the Missionary Society at the church. She was also a Cub Scout Leader and Girl Scout Leader for many years. She was a homemaker and retired from Hammond's Fruit Market in 1971. She was also previously employed by General Electric Company. Surviving are her son, Dennis L. Huffman of Decatur, daughter, Lynne (Jay) Teeter of Decatur, brother, Eugene Roehm of Fort Wayne, five grandchildren; Jeff Huffman, Ron Huffman, Kim (Rob) Landrum, Mark (Kelly) Teeter and Matthew (Angi) Teeter, six great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren. Preceding Eleanor in death were two brothers; Hubert & Donald Roehm. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009 in the Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Phil Phifer officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 12 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Preferred memorials are to Adams County Community Foundation - Cancer Fund or Zion Lutheran Church.
