Bertha A. Gerardot, 89 years old of Monroeville, Indiana and also previously of New Haven, Indiana passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009 in the Dallas Lamb Foundation Home located in Payne, Ohio. She was born on Tuesday, October 14, 1919 in Allen County, Indiana the daughter of the late Charles Emenhiser and the late Irene (Heckler) Emenhiser. She married Earl J. Gerardot on January 25, 1938 in St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon. Bertha was a homemaker and a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Doris A.) Reinhart of Antwerp, Ohio, daughter, Sandra K. Waldron of Van Wert, Ohio, daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Joan L.) Zimmerman of Dandridge, Tennessee son, Dale J. (Nelle) Gerardot of Woodburn, Indiana, son, Gary E. (Kris) Gerardot of Payne, Ohio, sister, Mary Geesaman of Fort Wayne, Indiana, sister, Lois Peterson of Lake Pleasant, Indiana, sister, Ruth Wonderley of Hicksville, Ohio, sister, Mrs. Loren (Gloria) Inlow of Fort Wayne, Indiana, brother, Jerry Emenhiser of Butler, Indiana, brother, Stanley Emenhiser of St. Joe, Indiana, brother, Michael Emenhiser of Woodburn, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. Preceding Bertha in death were one son-in-law, Harry Waldron, one grandson, James Waldron, five brothers; Ronald, Kenneth, Allen, Charles Jr. and Elwood Emenhiser and two sisters; Amy Nahrwold and Maxine Voirol. A Prayer service will be held at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2009 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon with Father Stephen Colchin officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Besancon. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 4 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville. Preferred memorials are to Masses to the church or Dallas Lamb Foundation Home Activities Fund.
