Irene M. Bultemeier, 88 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 8:04 a.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2010 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur. Irene was born on Monday, October 16, 1922 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late August Buuck and the late Johanna (Gallmeyer) Buuck. She married the late Clarence H. Bultemeier on May 25, 1941 and he passed away on August 17, 2004. Irene was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim. She was involved with the Adams County 4-H where she was a longtime group leader. Irene and her husband were active in several local bridge clubs. Additionally, they both enjoyed trading stocks. Irene assisted her husband in the operation of Bultemeier Construction. She handled the bookkeeping and payroll duties for the company. Surviving are her son, Larry (Janice) Bultemeier of Decatur, Indiana; son, Bruce Bultemeier of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Judy A. (Sam) Baumann of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Kaye I. (Noel Kuck) Bultemeier of Lilongwe, Malawi; daughter, Grace M. (Dan Pence) Bultemeier of Danville, Indiana; sister-in-law, Eldora Fuelling of Decatur, Indiana; sister-in-law, Louise Buuck of Ossian, Indiana; ten grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Irene in death were one grandson, Brett Bultemeier and one brother, Norman Buuck. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedheim (10703 N. 550 W. Decatur) with Rev. Daniel Dahling officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Friedheim. Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2010 in the Porter Auditorium at Woodcrest and from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
