William J. "Woody" Woodall

William J. ""Woody"" Woodall, 58 years old of Willshire, Ohio, passed away at 3:05 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010 in the Van Wert County Hospice Home located in Van Wert, Ohio. Woody was born on Monday, April 7, 1952 in London, Kentucky the son of the late Clayton Woodall and Audrey (Mahaffey) Woodall. He married Colletta Young on September 20, 1975 in Livingston, Kentucky. They had been married for over 34 years. Woody had been a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1971-1975 where he was assigned to the Marine Security Guard Battalion, which handles security at US Embassies around the world. Woody was a truck driver and was last employed by PDQTL Express in Van Wert, Ohio and was formerly employed by Zollner Piston in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Woody enjoyed being outside and was an avid outdoorsman. He was also a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Surviving are his wife, Colletta Woodall of Willshire, Ohio; son, Ryan "Bama" Woodall of Willshire, Ohio; son, Clay (Andrea) Woodall of Anderson, South Carolina; mother, Audrey Woodall of Wren, Ohio; brother, Robert (Brenda) Woodall of Rogersville, Alabama; sister, Mary "Katie" Williams of Wren, Ohio; sister, Barbara Sue Woodall of Tampa, Florida and three grandchildren; McCade Woodall, Haylee Woodall & Alayna Woodall. He was also loved by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home. Graveside Services will held on Monday, May 31, 2010 in the Bales Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Kentucky. Friends will be received one hour prior to services Saturday in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the grandchildren's college fund.
