Richard N. Mills, 79 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 on South Water Street located in Monroeville, Indiana. Richard was born on August 2, 1927 in Roanoke, Indiana the Son of the late Henry K. Mills and the late Lois M. (Smith). Richard served in the United States Army during WW II. He was a 50 year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers; the American Legion Post #420 in Monroeville, Indiana; and the D.A.V. Indiana Chapter. Richard was a crane operator and retired in 1989 from International Union of Operating Engineers Local 103 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Surviving are his sister, Lois K. Johnson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, Byron "Jack" Mills of Tucson, Arizona; step-granddaughter, Angela J. Slack of Lancaster, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. There is no funeral service or visitation. There are no preferred memorials.
