Carol Ann Gresley, 56 years old of Hoagland, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011 in the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home following an illness of seven years. She was born on Friday, September 30, 1955 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the daughter of the late Donald F. Bohnke and Violet M. (Poehler) Bohnke. She married Don C. Gresley on September 22, 1984 in St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock. Carol was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen where she was active in the adult choir. She was a 1973 graduate of Heritage High School. Following her graduation from Heritage, she worked toward and received an Associate Degree in Distribution and Marketing from Indiana University. She was employed by Star Financial Services in Fort Wayne as a charge back specialist for bank cards. Surviving are her husband, Don Gresley of Hoagland, daughter, Kelly Gresley of Carmel, Indiana, son, Matthew Gresley of Hoagland, mother, Violet Bohnke of Monroeville, brother, Dean A. Bohnke of Monroeville, brother, Larry E. (Kathy) Bohnke of Monroeville, and her in-laws, Dale & Gertrude Gresley of Hoagland. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011 in the St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen with Rev. Peter Brock officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery , Bingen. Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 26 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Preferred memorials are to St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
