Mary F. Scheumann, 89 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 7:40 a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2008 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center located in Decatur, Indiana. Mary was born on Saturday, August 3, 1918 in Adams County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Edward Koos and the late Lucy Belle (Bunner) Koos. She married Paul R. Rich on November 24, 1943 in Bobo, Indiana and he passed away on August 18, 1967. On August 5, 1972 she married Arnold Scheumann in Decatur, Indiana and he passed away on October 7, 1983. Mary was a member of Grace Bible Church in Berne, Indiana where she was active in the Women's Missionary Society and Fellowship Bible Class of the church. She was also involved in the Adams County Senior Citizens, Adams County Heart Club, Christian Women's Club of Decatur and the Sunny Circle Home Demonstration Club of Preble. Mary retired from CTS in 1981 with over seventeen years of service and had also worked at Genesis Dress Shop in Decatur for fifteen years. Surviving are her son, Paul E. (Sharon) Rich of Decatur, Indiana, step-daughter, Joan DeLaRosa of Las Vegas, Nevada, step-son, Rev. Leroy (Joyce) Scheumann of Isanti, Minnesota, granddaughter, Mrs. Tony (Cristina M.) Worth of Decatur, Indiana, grandson, Lynn E. (Carrie) Rich of Syracuse, Indiana, ten step-grandchildren; Christopher Repine of Fernley, Nevada, Michelle Martin of Provo, Utah, Joshua Scheumann of Isanti, Minnesota, Julianna Scheumann of St. Paul, Minnesota and Jonathon, Joseph, Jeremiah, Joel, Jesse & Josiah Scheumann of Isanti, Minnesota, four great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Circle officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in the Woodcrest Porter Auditorium in Decatur, Indiana and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Grace Bible Church in Berne, Indiana or the Adams County Heart Club.
