Elmo Ehlerding

Elmo Ehlerding, 85 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in Adams Memorial Hospital. He was born on Friday, November 9, 1923 in Adams County, Indiana the son of the late Herman Ehlerding and the late Hulda (Prange) Ehlerding. He married Fern A. Neeb on November 11, 1972 in St. Paul Lutheran Church and she passed away on March 10, 2005. He was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Elmo was an Adams County farmer and drove truck for Kenosha Auto Transport for 38 years retiring in November of 1983. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Randy (Pamela) Everett of Decatur, sister, Olga Mather of Tarpon Springs, Florida, granddaughter, Karly Beth Everett of Decatur and grandson, Kolton Everett of Decatur. Preceding Elmo in death were one brother, Floyd Ehlerding and one sister, Bernadine Johnston. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Hasecke officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 5 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Preferred memorials are to Worship for Shut-Ins, Wyneken Memorial Lutheran School or the donor's choice.
