Virgil H. Cook, 95 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center. He was born on Monday, July 29, 1912 in Adams County, Indiana the son of the late William Cook and the late Pearl (Gause) Cook. He married Lola L. Bollenbacher on April 25, 1936 and she passed away on April 29, 1993. Virgil was lifelong farmer who loved horses, especially racing horses. Surviving are his daughter, Helen (Tom) Dulle of Plymouth, Indiana, daughter, Maxine Brewster of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Bonnie (Tom) Hower of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Isabella King of Decatur, Indiana, brother, Herbert Cook of Decatur, Indiana, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Virgil in death were one son, Ray Cook; three grandchildren, Gary & Randy Elzey & Doug Dulle; five sisters, Hazel Johnson, Josephine Hirschy, Rosie Lough, Opal Hess & Betty Kipfer and seven brothers; Lester, Roy, Willie, Wilbur, Dale, Richard & Albert Cook. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Chaplain John Follett officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 13 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Preferred memorials are to the Woodcrest Nursing Center or the donor's choice.
