J. Ann McDougal, 71 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 7:17 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2011 in the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ann was born on Thursday, September 28, 1939 in Monroeville, Indiana the daughter of the late Joseph F. Bowyer and the late Lena M. (Savieo) Bowyer. She married the late Frederick R. McDougal on June 11, 1960 in Monroeville, Indiana and he passed away on January 4, 1994. Ann was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen. She enjoyed her grandchildren, bowling, playing cards, boating, and gardening. Ann was a self-employed Avon Representative for over 27 years. Surviving are her son, Gil Ray McDougal of Martinsville, Indiana; son, Gregory Allen (Pam) McDougal of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; son, Geoffrey Jo (Lesley) McDougal of Greenwood, Indiana; brother, James (Arlene) Bowyer of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren: Cameron McDougal, Christopher McDougal, Cortney McDougal, Brea McDougal, and Brennan McDougal. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011 in the St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen with Rev. Peter Brock officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Indiana. Friends will be received from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Preferred memorials are to St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen; Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home; or Cancer Services of Allen.
