Donald Edward Pepe, 80 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away at 12:20 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010 in the Miller's Merry Manor located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Don was born on Thursday, November 14, 1929 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the son of the late Bernard A. Pepe and the late Vivian L. (Miller) Pepe. He married Jean B. Smith on May 24, 1963 in Payne, Ohio and she passed away in 1976. Donald served his country in the United States Air Force. Don was a member of the Simpson United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana; a member of the Fort Wayne Lodge #41 I.O.O.F.; and a graduate of Monroeville High School. Don retired from Wabash Fiber Box Company in 1992 as a die mounter after 27 years of service. Surviving are his son, Scott E. Pepe of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Karen S. (Keith) Sanders of Gas City, Indiana; sister, Helen V. Green of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Preceding Donald in death were two sisters, Virginia L. (Oberley) Hunsberger and Catherine J. Heck; and one brother, Louis B. Pepe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana with Rev. Steve Burris officiating. Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery, located in Roanoke, Indiana. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
