James H. Riemke, 70 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away at 8:03 a.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at his residence. James was born on Wednesday, May 3, 1939 in Orland, Indiana the son of the late Theodore P. H. Riemke and the late Ellen M. (Teegardin) Riemke. His first wife was O. Carolene (Robbins) Riemke and she passed away on February 22, 1988. His second wife is Fern (Hunter) McAllister Riemke and they were married on October 4, 1997 and she survives. James served his country in the United States Army National Guard and the United States Army. James was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim. James had been the Design Coordinator for Transportation Administration Dept. for the city of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He also previously was the owner-operator of C. J. R. Draughting LTD in Ft. Wayne; Hipskind Asphalt Company, and Scott's Foods. Surviving are his wife, Fern Riemke of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Christina Riemke of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Debbie (Ted) Brunner of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Julie (Donald) Adkison of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Kimberlee (Richard) Weiland II of Decatur, Indiana; son, Robbin (Dianne) Riemke of Lafayette, Indiana; son, Tim (Lisa) Riemke of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; son, Terry (Linda) McAllister of Decatur, Indiana; son, Randy (Gail) McAllister of Fort Hood, Texas; sister, Barbara A. Jones of West Unity, Ohio; brother, John W. (Jean) Riemke of Kendallville, Indiana; twenty-two grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. A. Prayer Service will be held Friday, February 12, 2010 at 10:15 a.m. in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana followed by and 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service in the Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim with Rev. Daniel Dahling officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Decatur, Indiana. Military Graveside Services will be conducted by the Adams Post 43 American Legion. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 in the D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home, Foster Park, 6301 Fairfield Avenue, Ft. Wayne, Indiana and from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Zion Friedheim Church Building Fund or the donor's choice.
