Olive J. Lose, 90 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2008 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center following an extended illness. She was born on Friday, August 10, 1917 in Portland, Indiana the daughter of the late Orla J. Journay and the late Cora A. (Bibler) Journay. She married the late Carl J. Lose on November 23, 1950 in Decatur, Indiana and he passed away on June 10, 1991. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, the Ladies Guild of the church and the Retired Ladies of General Electric. Olive retired from General Electric with 27 years of service. (Marie) Journay of Decatur, Indiana, niece, Julie Thompson of Bluffton, Indiana, niece, Kathy Gardner of Bluffton, Indiana, nephew, Ron Journay of Decatur, Indiana, nephew, Rex Journay of Portland, Indiana, nephew, Rick Journay of Bellvue, Ohio, nephew, Greg Stewart of Portland, Indiana, nephew, Gary Stewart of Portland, Indiana, niece, Eileen Eichhorn of Decatur, Indiana, niece, Angela Klarke of Bluffton, Indiana, niece Kate Dyer of Decatur, Indiana, niece, Dorothy McCullough of Decatur, Indiana, niece, Laura Ditto of Decatur, Indiana, niece, Phyllis Whitright of Decatur, Indiana, nephew, David Eichhorn of Decatur, Indiana, nephew, Robert Eichhorn of Albany, Indiana, nephew, Charles Eichhorn of Decatur, Indiana, nephew, Arthur Eichhorn of Decatur, Indiana, nephew, Dan Lose of New Haven, Indiana, nephew, Jim Lose of Berne, Indiana, niece, Linnea Lose of Cincinnati, Ohio, nephew, Rick Lose of Cincinnati, Ohio, and nephew, Greg Lose of California. Preceding Olive in death were two sisters, Doris Campbell and Wanda Lou Stewart, one brother, Garth Journay and one nephew, Larry Journay. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in the Zion United Church of Christ with Rev. Randy Rossman and Pastor Clint Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 29 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to Zion United Church of Christ, St. Mary's Parish Improvement Fund or Fairview United Methodist Church in Portland, Indiana.
