Virginia L. (Pepe) (Oberley) Hunsberger, 73 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2006 at the Hospice Home of Fort Wayne. She was born on Tuesday, August 30, 1932 in Allen County, Indiana the daughter of the late Bernard Pepe and the late Vivian (Miller) Pepe. She was first married to the late Elmer C. "Bugs" Oberley Jr. Virginia then married W. Ted Hunsberger on July 26, 2000 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and he survives. Virginia was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon. She was a graduate of Monroeville High School Class of 1950. Virginia was a loving mother, a fan of puzzles and scrabble. She had an intense interest in birds, flowers, and music ranging from classical, opera and jazz. Her backyard was lush with flowers throughout the summer. She traveled with her husband Ted, to various locations, including Italy, Grand Canyon, Virginia Beach and the Gulf Coast. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed teaching others her culinary skills. She retired from G. T. E. in 1988 after 20 years of service, having worked in marketing and training. She was also an insurance agent for ten years. Surviving are her husband, W. Ted Hunsberger of Fort Wayne, Indiana, daughter, Denise M. Oberley of Fort Wayne, Indiana, son, Mark A. (Mary Lou) Oberley of Fort Wayne, Indiana, son, Matthew A. (Paula) Oberley of Fort Wayne, Indiana, son, Kenneth S. Oberley of Fort Wayne, Indiana, son, Theodore J. (Debra) Oberley of Fort Wayne, Indiana, son, Stuart J. (Elda) Oberley of Fort Wayne, Indiana, son, Phillip L. Oberley of Fort Wayne, Indiana, son, Timothy J. (Gretchen) Oberley of Fort Wayne, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Joyce Pranger of Fort Wayne, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Roger (Helen) Green of Fort Wayne, Indiana, brother, Donald Pepe of Fort Wayne, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Raymond (Catharine) Heck of Payne, Ohio, twenty-seven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Virginia in death was one son, Michael Oberley in 2002 and one brother, Louis Pepe. There will be a 9:20 a.m. Prayer Service Thursday, June 22, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon, rural New Haven, Indiana with Fr. Stephen Colchin officiating. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, in Monroeville, Indiana. A Rosary Service will be recited at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Parkview Health & Fitness Center or the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home of Fort Wayne.
