Eldina W. Boese, 97 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2008 in Woodcrest Nursing Center. She was born on Tuesday, April 26, 1910 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Martin Boese and the late Anna (Conrad) Boese. Eldina was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim. She was a homemaker and had previously been employed at General Hosiery in Fort Wayne and the Schaffer Glove Company. Survivors include her nephew, Kenneth M. Fuhrmann of Decatur, Indiana, nephew, Stanley H. (Anne) Fuhrmann of Decatur, Indiana, niece, and Carol A. (Michael E.) Baker of Monroeville, Indiana, six great-nieces and five great-nephews. Preceding Eldina in death were two sisters, Gertrude Boese and Louise A. Fuhrmann and one nephew, Vernon Fuhrmann. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2008 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur with Pastor Daniel Dahling officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Friedheim. Friends will be received from noon to 4 p.m., Sunday, January 20 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Preferred memorials are to Worship for Shut-Ins or Lutheran Hour. Those serving as pallbearers will be Ted Blomenberg, Steven Conrad, Josh Baker, Scott Fuhrmann, Vaughn Fuhrmann and Myron Fuhrmann.
