Matthew James Kentel, 38 years old of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 in the Health Central Hospital following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on March 31, 1968 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the son of the late Rev. Clifford B.D. Kentel, who passed away on July 26, 2005 and the late Barbara Jean (Bleeke) Kentel, who passed away on June 29, 2003. Matthew was the founder and manager of X-cite Motorsports in Orlando, Florida. Surviving are his daughter, Zoe Kentel, of South Carolina, daughter, Courtney Kentel, of Florida, brother, Major Greg (Isabel) Kentel of Lawton, Oklahoma, maternal grandmother, Mildred Bleeke of Decatur, Indiana, uncle and aunt, Ken and Rosie Bleeke of Decatur, Indiana, uncles: Vernon Kentel of Enderby, British Columbia, Wallace Kentel of Red Deer, Alberta, Rev. Murvyn Kentel of Kelona, British Columbia, Ray Kentel of Samon Arm, British Columbia, and aunts: Bettyann Petz of Calgary, Alberta, Adeline Schentage of Regina, Saskatchewan. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2006 at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Decatur, Indiana with Pastor Al Bierlein officiating. Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to the St. Peter Immanuel Lutheran School.
