Marjorie A. Carver, 90 years old of Monroe, Indiana, passed away at 6:38 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur, Indiana. Marjorie was born on Thursday, February 13, 1919 in Rockford, Ohio the daughter of the late Grover Graham and the late Ethel (Strete) Graham. She married F. Clair Carver on February 9, 1941 in Bluffton, Indiana and he survives. Marjorie was a member of the Salem Community Church; a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years; was former treasurer of the United Methodist Women; a Blue Creek Township 4-H leader for over 45 years; Home Economics Club, serving as president over 14 years; and the Adams County Cancer Society treasurer for 7 years. She was a graduate of Rockford High School Class of 1937. She was homemaker and assisted her husband, Clair, in the Salem Store. Surviving are her husband, F. Clair Carver of Monroe, Indiana; daughter, Barbara L. Carver of New Haven, Indiana; son, David C. (Lois) Carver of Valparaiso, Indiana; brother, Dewain "Bus" Graham of Holland, Ohio; two grandchildren: Joshua Carver of Los Angeles, California; Cara (Eric J.) Olson of Indianapolis, Indiana; , one great-grandchild: Lila Olson of Indianapolis, Indiana. Preceding Marjorie in death were 1 daughter, Carolyn Carver; 2 brothers, James Milton Graham and Charles Eugene Graham; 3 sisters, Mary (Gecowets) Cook, Kathryn Egger, and Virginia Zizelman. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Tricker Cemetery, Monroe, Indiana. Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Salem Community Church, Family Hospice and Palliative Care of N E Indiana, or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
