Alice L. Wiehe, 88 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010 in the Village of Heritage. She was born on Saturday, February 11, 1922 in Allen County, Indiana the daughter of the late Harvey E. Rothgeb and the late Leila O. (Ruhl) Rothgeb. She married Moritz C. Wiehe on February 14, 1942 in New Haven, Indiana and he passed away on May 14, 1997. Alice was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock. She retired in 1981 from Magnavox in Fort Wayne with over twelve years of service as an inspector of electronic equipment. Surviving are her son, Richard A. (Pat) Wiehe of Bryan, Ohio, son, Fredric E. (Gloria) Wiehe of Monroeville, daughter, Mrs. Dan (Susan E.) Cameron of Fort Wayne, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, four step-grandchildren, eleven step great-grandchildren and seventeen step great great-grandchildren. Preceding Alice in death were one son, James E. Wiehe, two brothers, George M. & Howard W. Rothgeb and one sister, Betty J. Newhard. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in the St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock with Rev. Douglas Christian officiating. Interment will follow in the St John Lutheran Cemetery, Flatrock. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, August 3 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to Village of Heritage Walkway or St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock.
