Raymond W. Seitz, 76 years old, passed away on at 9:52 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008 in the Colorado State Veterans Center located in Home Lake, Colorado. Ray was born on Saturday, August 8, 1931 in Putman County, Ohio, the son of the late Charley Seitz and the late Beulah (Wood) Seitz. He married the late Barbara Lou Marbaugh on February 1, 1953 in Decatur, Indiana and she passed away on October 16, 1998. Ray was long time member of the Decatur Church of God and the First Church of God in Bradenton, Florida, where he served as chairman of the board. Ray was a Decatur Policeman from January 1, 1954 to February 1, 1974 and he drove school bus for North Adams Community Schools for ten years. He also owned and operated Seitz and Sons Construction and managed the Pine Haven Mobile Home Park for seven years in Bradenton, Florida. Surviving are his son, Michael E. Seitz of Durango, Colorado, brother, Vernon Seitz of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Richard (Janet) Evans of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Don (Carol) Aurand of Decatur, Indiana, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Preceding Raymond in death were one daughter, Deborah Sheets and ond son, Kirk Seitz. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 in the Decatur Church of God. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the Decatur Church of God. Preferred memorials are to Decatur Church of God.
