Lucille M. Thiele, 95 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in the Ossian Health Care Center located in Ossian, Indiana. Lucille was born on Friday, October 27, 1916 in Yoder, Indiana the daughter of the late Amos Benjamin Springer and the late Ellanore (Dettmer) Springer. She married the late Frederick Conrad Thiele on November 21, 1937 in St. Mark's Lutheran in Fort Wayne, Indiana and he passed away on May 24, 1972. Lucille was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana where she was involved in the Ladies Aid-Sewing; the church choir; the Fellowship Society; and the Senior Club. Lucille enjoyed playing dice and cards; knotting quilts; visiting with relatives; and going to Square Dances with her husband who played in the band. Lucille was a homemaker, helped with farming and had worked at Heyerly's Bakery in Ossian, Indiana for 15 years. Surviving are her son, Ralph (Jan) Thiele of Fremont, Indiana; daughter, Bertha (Melvin) Doctor of Hudson, Indiana; daughter, Kathleen (John) Cains of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; son, Marvin Thiele of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; son, Calvin (Pam) Thiele of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Preceding Lucille in death were one brother, Gottlieb Springer and two sisters, Anita Thiele and Catherine Hockemeyer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Mark Lutheran Church, 16933 Thiele Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN with Rev. Wade Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 16933 Thiele Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery; or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Homestead Rd. in Ft. Wayne, IN.
