Cynthia F. Weldy, 55 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 in the Bluffton Regional Hospital following an extended illness. She was born on Friday, September 5, 1952 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of the late Jack M. Weldy and Josephine V. (Sheets) Weldy. Cynthia was a member of the Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Decatur, Indiana. She enjoyed crafts, rug hooking and sewing. She was a graduate of Bellmont High School Class of 1972 and was a driver for the Amish. Surviving are her son, Chad L. Hunter of Decatur, Indiana, son, Jericho J. Heckert of New Castle, Indiana, mother, Josephine V. Weldy of Decatur, Indiana, brother, Russell E. (Dawn) Weldy of Decatur, Indiana, brother, Jack M. Weldy Jr. of Decatur, Indiana, brother, Lloyd E. (Tami) Weldy of Decatur, Indiana, brother, Michael V. Weldy of Geneva, Indiana, and sister, Mrs. Neil (Wauneta A. Otis) Kegerries of Pennville, Indiana. Preceding Cynthia in death were her father, her grandparents and one nephew. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Karges officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home. Preferred memorials are to Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana, Union Chapel United Methodist Church or Relay for Life.
