Deveta C. Genth, 85 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 7:43 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2007 at her residence. Deveta was a former lifelong resident of Hoagland, Indiana. Deveta was born on Thursday, May 18, 1922 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Herbert Rietdorf and the late Catherine (Handson) Rietdorf. She married Glen Wayne Genth on August 21, 1943 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and he passed away on May 4, 1987. Deveta was a member of the Solid Rock Church in Decatur, Indiana. Deveta was a homemaker and had worked with her parents at The Hayloft Reception Center in Hoagland, Indiana. Surviving are her daughter, Pam S. (Wayne) Bultemeier of Hoagland, Indiana, grandson, Christian W. Bultemeier of Hoagland, Indiana, grandson, Jamie J. (Traci) Bultemeier of Ostrander, Ohio, and great-grandson, Wyatt G. Bultemeier. Preceding Deveta in death was one sister, Marilyn Baker in 1972. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2007 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana with Pastor Tony Mosser officiating. Interment will follow in the Covington Memorial Gardens, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to Village of Heritage; The James Cancer Hospital; Woodcrest-Evergreen Apts; or the Solid Rock Church.
