Cynthia L. Scherer, 46 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, went to meet her Lord and her son on Sunday, June 11, 2006 at 1:20 a.m. due to a two car accident at the intersection of Minnick and Tillman Roads. Cindy was born on October 1, 1959 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana the daughter of Paul W. Hamrick and Rose M. (Balbaugh) Hamrick, whom both survive. She married Kevin D. Scherer on August 14, 1989 and he survives. Cindy was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling in rural Decatur, Indiana. Cindy was a caring and nuturing mother and wife who loved her family. Cindy adored flowers, particularly those that attracted butterflies and hummingbirds. She began working on her large flower garden about five or six years ago and ever since has devoted a lot of her time to it. The flower beds at her home line the front of the home, wrap around the garage and extend from the barn to the corn crib. It started with just a little garden in front and ended with a whole barnyard full of flowers. Cynthia was a homemaker and had worked at Ft. Wayne, Vehicle Auction for over 10 years. Surviving are her husband, Kevin D. Scherer of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Jennifer Stump of rural Ft. Wayne, Indiana, daughter, Darcy Scherer and son, Kyle Scherer at home, parents, Paul W. and Rose M. Hamrick of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, brother, Mike (Kathy) Hamrick of New Haven, Indiana, brother, Terry (Fawn) Hamrick of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, sister, Debbie (Kevin) Crouch of Dunedin, Florida, sister, Paula Johnson and (fiancé Dana Bishop) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, sister, Becky (Leo) King of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and sister, Susan Mast of Dublin, Ohio. Cindy was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Stump in 1996. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2006 in the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling with Rev. Martin Moehring officiating. Interment will follow in the St Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling.
