C. Ralph Tieman, 79 years old and a twelve year resident of Welston, Michigan, and a former longtime resident of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2006 in the Manistee Medical Care Facility located in Manistee, Michigan. The death was a result of an extended illness. He was born on Wednesday, August 18, 1926 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the son of the late Harold Tieman and the late Luella Schueler. He married Dora Mae McCullough on September 14, 1947 in the St. Peter Lutheran Church parsonage. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling and SAL of the American Legion Post #43, Decatur. Ralph retired in 1980 from International Harvester with 22 years of service. He was also a retired farmer and had been a motor home driver for Don Ray Drive-Away business located in Decatur, Indiana. Surviving are his wife, Dora Mae Tieman of Welston, Michigan, son, Michael E. Tieman of Loveland, Colorado, son, William A. Tieman of Rockford, Michigan, daughter, Sarah Miller of Lakeside, Arizona, daughter, Katherine Blain of Huntertown, Indiana, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur with Rev. Martin Moehring officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Fuelling. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling or the donor's choice.
