Dorothy Selking, 83 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2008 in the Adams Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day. She was born on Saturday, April 18, 1925 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Edmund Aumann and the late Frieda (Droege) Aumann. She was united in marriage to Gerhard Selking on June 22, 1947. After 55 years of marriage, he passed away on May 29, 2003. Dorothy was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen. She was a homemaker and had retired from TMC Molding Company in Hoagland, Indiana. In her younger years, she was also employed at Fort Wayne General Electric Company. Surviving are her daughter, Janet Curtis of Decatur, Indiana, son, Michael W. (Carol) Selking of Decatur, Indiana, son, Randy Selking of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Gertrude Gresley of Hoagland, Indiana, five grandchildren; Krista Roseberry, Jamie Selking, Megan Selking, Phil Curtis & Pat Curtis and three great-grandchildren; Andrew, Nakeytia & Ethan Curtis. Preceding Dorothy in death were one son, Dennis Selking, one sister, Della Hockemeyer & one brother, Edmund Aumann Jr. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in the St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen with Pastor Daniel Dahling officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Bingen. Friends will be received from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to Worship for Shut-Ins or the St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen.
