Dorcas E. Plumley, 69 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on Thursday, March 25, 1937 in Kirkland Township, Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Herman Sautbine and the late Rachel (Yager) Sautbine. She married Russell Plumley on September 4, 1954 in Decatur, Indiana. Dorcas was a member of East Liberty United Methodist Church where she was a longtime pianist and organist. She was homemaker and a bookkeeper for Plumley Farm Drainage in Monroeville, Indiana. Surviving are her husband, Russell Plumley of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Stan (Marilyn) Cress of Convoy, Ohio, daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Judy) Hook of Hicksville, Ohio, son, Stuart Plumley of Ottawa, Kansas, son, Thane (Kathy) Plumley of Van Wert, Ohio, brother, William "Bill" (Donna) Sautbine of Seattle, Washington, brother, Lester (Janet) Sautbine of Portland, Indiana, brother, Ernie (Mary Kaye) Sautbine of Indianapolis, Indiana, eight grandchildren; Rachel (Chris) Crawford, Shelly Cress, Mike Cress, Beth Hook, Cecil (Alicia) Hook, Travis Plumley, Josh Plumley, & Kyle Plumley and two great-grandchildren; William & Ethan Crawford. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2006 in the East Liberty United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Borgman and Rev. Ralph Klinker officiating. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 6 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to East Liberty United Methodist Church, Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or the donor's choice.
