Robert J. "Bobby Joe" Hartman, 70 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2006 at his residence following an illness of several years. He was born on Thursday, March 5, 1936 in Wells County, Indiana the son of the late Charles H. Hartman Sr. and the late Erma M. (Sickafus) Hartman. He married Diana S. Clevenger on April 6, 1957. Robert was a member of the F & AM Lodge #740 in New Haven and was a former member & former past Master of the Masonic Lodge #293 in Monroeville. He was also a member of the Monroeville United Methodist Church, Van Wert Amateur Radio Club and the Scottish Rite of Fort Wayne. He retired in 1985 from International Harvester Company with 30 years of service. Bobby was also a retired farmer. Surviving are his wife, Diana S. Hartman of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Michael (Anna M.) Pruden of Monroeville, Indiana, son, Ralph E. Hartman of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Peggy J. McCoy of Monroeville, Indiana, son, Carl L. Hartman of Fort Wayne, Indiana, brother, Charles H. Hartman Jr. of Monroeville, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Robert (Susan) Green of Easley, South Carolina, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Preceding Robert in death was one sister, L. Irene Grabner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with Pastor Richard Sprunger officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15 at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel. Preferred memorial are to Monroeville EMS, Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or the Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
