Mary Helen Bowyer, 99 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 2, 2012 in the Village of Heritage located in Monroeville. Mary was born on Sunday, February 2, 1913 in Monroeville, Indiana the daughter of the late John E. Bowyer and the late Frances (Wannamaker) Bowyer. Mary was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Monroeville. Mary enjoyed traveling around the United States and she enjoyed the company of many four-legged friends. Mary retired in 1965 as a beautician after 34 years. Surviving are her nephew, Jim E. (Arlene) Bowyer of Ft. Wayne, IN; great-niece, Kristalle (Daniel) Wadsworth of Ft. Wayne, IN; great-nephew, Gil McDougall of Martinsville, IN; great-nephew, Greg (Pam) McDougall of Ft. Wayne, IN; great-nephew, Geoff (Leslie) McDougall of Greenwood, IN; six great-great-nieces and nephews. Preceding Mary in death were a niece, Julia Ann McDougal on Aug. 7, 2011; and 2 brothers, Joseph F. Bowyer and John E. Bowyer; and a great-nephew, Brent Bowyer. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 NOON Thursday, September 6, 2012 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon Thursday, September 6, 2012 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, IN.
