Terry D. Ogg, 64 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012 in the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana. He was born on Saturday, January 3, 1948 in Adams County, Indiana the son of the late Max E. Ogg and Helen J. (Owens) Ogg. He married Joan M. Burkley on November 3, 1979 in Decatur, Indiana. Terry served in the United States Navy during Viet Nam from 1967 to 1971. He was a member of The Bridge Community Church in Decatur, the American Legion Post #43, the NRA, & the VFW #6236. Terry worked at General Electric in Decatur from 1967 to 1989 and then StoneCo from 1989 to 2005. Surviving are his wife, Joan M. Ogg of Decatur; mother, Helen J. Ogg of Decatur; daughter, Mariessa K. (Paul) Hockemeyer of Decatur; daughter, Shelly L. (Kevin) Pugh of Portland; daughter, Marsha A. (Jeremy) Friedt of Decatur; daughter, Nikki A. (Greg) Meyer of Decatur; son, Craig W. (Chris) Ruskaup of Fort Wayne; brother, Neil A. (Mary) Ogg of Decatur; sister, Joyce A. (Chris) Geels of Decatur; sister, Jan S. Kiser of Decatur; and sister, Jill R. (Bill) Rykard of Decatur. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Brittney, Breanna, & Karley Hockemeyer; Makayla Free; Molly Jo Pugh; Carson & Cameron Friedt; Derek & Alex Meyer; and Emma & Ellee Ruskaup. Preceding Terry in death were his father, Max E. Ogg and his sister, Becky Ogg. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in The Bridge Community Church with Pastor Mo Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. & 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 6 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and also for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to The Bridge Community Church or Adams County Animal Shelter.
