November 11, 2012 in the Village of Heritage located in Monroeville, Indiana. Helen G. Reynolds, 100 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 7:05 a.m. on Sunday, Helen was born on Saturday, December 23, 1911 in Adams County, Indiana the Daughter of the late T. M. Parr and the late Pearl H. (Clase) Parr. She married the late Noble L. Reynolds on April 13, 1938 in Adams County, Indiana and he passed away on November 8, 1990. Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur and also a member of the church choir. She was an honorable member of the Friendship Village Home Economics Club in decatur and a former member of the Civic Section of the Women's Club in Decatur. Helen was a homemaker and had been a cook at Adams County Memorial Hospital for 12 years. She was an honored employee since 1931 and in addition to her employment, she also volunteered at the hospital for many years. Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Brouwer of Monroeville, IN; granddaughter, Leesa (Matt) Ackermann of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister, Mary (Don) Myers of Constantine, MI; 5 great-grandchildren: Julia (Chris) Lassen, David Ackermann, Amanda Ackermann, Jon Ackermann, and Bailey Brouwer; and 1 great-great-grandson: Isaac Lassen. Preceding Helen in death were 4 sisters, Dorothy Brewster, Ruth Luginbill, Martha Price, Oral Jarrell; 6 brothers, Mark, Bert, Howard, Jim, Sam, and Billy Parr; and 1 granddaughter: Tammy Brouwer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Pastor Whitney West officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope (Willard) Cemetery in rural Berne, Indiana. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to First Baptist Church or the Donor's Choice.
