Mary K. Parrish, 97 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012 in the Saint Anne Home & Retirement Community located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mary was born on Thursday, July 8, 1915 in Decatur, Indiana the Daughter of the late Leo J. Ulman and the late Agnes (Miller) Ulman. She married the late J. Ronald Parrish on July 3, 1937 in New Castle, Indiana and he passed away in November of 1987. Mary was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Waynedale, Indiana. She was a 1933 graduate of Decatur Catholic High School. Mary was a homemaker and had also worked part-time at Wolf & Dessauer's in Ft. Wayne; and Sutton Jewelry Store and E. F. Gass in Decatur as well as General Electric after graduatioin from high school. Surviving are her daughter, Judith K. (Dr. Robert) Ashmore of Mequon, WI; daughter, Susan A. McCadney of Manasses Park, VA; daughter, Patricia L. (Ken) Hobson of Fort Wayne, IN; six grandchildren: Robert Ashmore III, Michael Ashmore, Jennifer E. McCadney, Rebecca L. McCadney, Samuel E. McCadney, Lindsay M. Hobson; and six great-grandchildren: Peter Ashmore, Noah Cramer, Tovah Cramer, Zachary Schroeder, Eric Schroeder, and Alexis Schroeder. Preceding Mary in death were three brothers, Max, Richard & Leo Ulman and a sister, Virgene Keller. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Deacon Jerry Kohrman officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Decatur. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Preferred memorials are to St. Anne Home & Retirement Community.
