Minnie Mae Stauffer, 81 years old of Willshire, Ohio, where she had resided for the past 3 years, passed away at 11:07 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012 in the Van Wert Manor located in Van Wert, Ohio where she had been a patient since July. Minnie was born on Tuesday, January 27, 1931 in Shiloh, Florida the daughter of the late David Carlile Sr. and the late Mattie (Carter) Carlile. Minnie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Titusville, Florida; the Pythian Sisters Club in Titusville; and past Chief of Local Temple #22. Minnie was a homemaker and was a telephone operator for a short time before marriage. Surviving are her son, Terrence D. (David Harris) Stauffer of Titusville, FL; son, Amos Dean (Paulette) Stauffer Jr. of Willshire, OH; Gerald Fredrick (Cheryl) Stauffer of Willshire, OH; son, David Nathaniel "Nat" Stauffer of Willshire, OH; brother, David N. Carlile of Titusville, FL; brother, James T. Carlile of Titusville, FL; former husband, Amos D. "Dean" Stauffer of Willshire, OH; special nephew, Trey (Linda) Brown of St. Mary, OH: ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Preceding Minnie in death were one sister, Gerry Pulliam; one brother-in-law, Thomas Pulliam; one nephew, Bill Carlile. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Sprunger officiating. Friends will be received from 3-6 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Preferred memorials are to Nat Stauffer.
